Ingredients
  

For the Sauce:

  • ΒΌ cup Chicken Stock
  • 1 tbsp Hoisin Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Light Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp Minced Ginger
  • Β½ tsp Red Chili Flakes
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil

Instructions
 

  • Lightly season chicken with salt and pepper. Dredge in cornstarch.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Deep fry chicken pieces until golden. Take chicken out of the oil and set aside.
  • Stir together chicken stock, soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin, and sugar in a bowl.
  • Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan.
  • Sautee garlic, ginger, and chili until aromatic.
  • Stir in the sauce and simmer until thick.
  • Toss in the chicken pieces until well coated.
  • Ladle onto bowls of rice and top with spring onions.
