Ingredients
  

  • For the Waffles
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • pinch of Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • ΒΌ cup Vegetable Oil

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup Diced Apples
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
  • ΒΌ cup Water
  • for the Glaze
  • 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients for the filling in a pan. Simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes or until apples are tender as preferred. Leave to cool slightly.
  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  • Blend in egg, sugar, milk, and oil.
  • Lightly coat a waffle iron with cooking spray.
  • Slice each waffle in half and fill with the cooked apples.
  • Cut filled waffles into sticks.
  • Whisk together ingredients for the glaze in a bowl and drizzle over hot waffles.
