Ingredients
- 2 cup (180 g) almond flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- β cup hot water
- 1Β½ cup grated mozzarella
- ΒΌ cup cream cheese
- 1 Eggs
- 1 yolk, beaten with 1 teaspoon water, to varnish the pretzels
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 150 Β° C / 300 Β° F. Prepare a baking sheet, cover with parchment paper or a silicone mat for baking.
- In the warm water place the baking powder, stir well and let stand about fifteen minutes until the yeast is activated. You will notice that bubbles have formed on the surface of the water.
- In a refractory bowl place, the grated mozzarella cheese together with the cream cheese; With the help of a spoon, integrate both ingredients as much as possible and microwave for 15 seconds, remove and stir gently, peeling off the cheese that is stuck on the edge of the container and mixing very well with the rest. Repeat this procedure until the cheese is completely melted.
- Very quickly and without letting it cool, add the almond flour, the lightly beaten egg and the yeast. Knead for a few minutes. If the dough hardens you can enter it in the microwave for ten seconds until it allows you to separate it into 4 or 5 equal parts.
- Give each piece the shape of a round and then oval bun. Roll each oval back and forth, slide your fingers along the dough, to form a strip about 20 cm long, which is 2.5 cm thick and 5 mm thick at the center. Shape the pretzels as the pictures show.
- With the help of a kitchen brush, varnish the pretzels with the mixture of egg yolk and water.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and salt in grains. Place them on the tray that you had previously prepared.
- Bake for about 25 minutes or until pretzels are golden brown.
- Remove from oven and carefully unmold. If you wish you can accompany it with mustard or melted butter flavored with parsley.
