How To Make Taco Cones
Preheat the oven to 150 ° C / 300 ° F.
Turn the stove on medium-high heat. Next, set up a heavy-bottomed pot where you will cook the meat.
Pour the oil into the pot and wait until it starts to bubble.
Add the onion and the seasoning taco.
Cook the onion for about three minutes, stirring occasionally, until it turns translucent.
Then add the meat. Stir with a large spoon, and try to shred the meat as much as possible while cooking.
When the meat has lost its pink color, add the tomato paste.
Stir well, and continue cooking over medium heat for at least five more minutes.
Until the meat is completely dry.
While the meat is cooking.
Put the tortillas on a cutting board, and with a bread knife, cut them in two.
Dissolve the wheat flour in the water to make the “glue.”
Place a teaspoon of “glue” on the end of a tortilla.
And then roll it into a cone, which is completely closed at the bottom.
Don’t worry if it doesn’t come out right the first time, you can practice rolling the tortilla without glue first until you perfect your technique.
Form all the cones, and let them rest for a few minutes on the table with the part where the glue is facing down.
Then, place all cones on the baking sheet.
The part where the “glue” is must be in contact with the baking sheet.
They don’t usually stick from the tray, but you can line the tray with some wax paper if in doubt.
Fill each cone with a paper bag ball to make sure it doesn’t lose its shape while baking.
Cook the cones for approximately ten minutes.
While the cones are cooking, add the cooked meat, corn kernels, and beans.
Stir well until all ingredients are well mixed.
Remove the cones from the oven, remove the waxed paper, and fill with two to three tablespoons of beef stew.
Top with cheddar cheese, red onion, avocado, and cilantro to taste.
Serve and enjoy!
